To make this whole process easier, I removed the front valance on the Sammi. Since it is held on by about a dozen difficult-to-reach phillips-head screws, this was a real, major PITA: The first trial fitting revealed a distinct intereference problem with the passenger side motor mount tower and the rotary’s exhaust manifold, so I had to torch it off:
After that, you can see how close the manifold falls relative to the frame rail (about 5/8″):
